- Review and interpret blueprints and plans provided by supervisors or project managers.
- Address and resolve issues related to carpentry work, such as repairing damaged or incomplete installations, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Collaborate with the project team to prioritize and complete planned work efficiently and to high quality standards.
Material Handling:
- Receive, inspect, and unload construction materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Organize and maintain an inventory of carpentry-related materials on the construction site.
- Safely handle and store materials to prevent damage or loss.
Framing and Carpentry:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors, windows, baseboards, crown moldings, and other trim work.
- Accurately measure and cut materials to fit specifications, ensuring precision in all carpentry installations.
- Ensure compliance with construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Safety and Quality:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project milestones and goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other team members regarding work progress and any challenges.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Proven experience as a Construction Carpenter with expertise in punch list items, material handling, and framing for multi-family construction projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional carpentry certifications or training are a plus.
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including framing, trim work, and door/window installations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in carpentry work.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with carpentry tools, equipment, and their maintenance.
- A commitment to quality craftsmanship and meeting project deadlines.
