**Summary/Objective**:
In this role, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Safety department including involvement with personnel, materials, equipment and assisting in creating a safe workplace and an organized WC claims process logging and maintaining data on work related accident and injuries for all facilities.

**Essential Functions**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Tracking the effectiveness of the Safety Program at all levels
- Conduct accident and claim investigations to identify root causes and action plans for improvement.
- Conduct audits as needed, reporting and follow up to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and various safety documentation, files and records.
- Share best practice information among all PT facilities.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute safety metric reports.
- Continuously improve job skills and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities such as seminars, conferences, online subscriptions, literature and regulatory publications.
- Maintain WC injuries log
- Tracking all incident reports, conducting incident investigations and maintaining a current OSHA log
- WC Claims reporting process, preparing file folders, copying records for subpoenas, insurance carrier and attorneys.
- Follow-up on medical status reports, communicating needed information to management and supervisors on a need-to-know basis
- Continuous education by attending Safety and WC seminars and meetings as needed to stay on top of current issues affecting the workplace.
- Assists in establishing and communicating company safety and WC values, goals and initiatives and methods for measuring the effectiveness of safety and WC programs.
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
