**Summary**:The Temporary Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing various types of inspections, including First Article, In-process, Final, and layout/AS9102 inspection by using surface plates. Utilizing a range of precision measuring devices and equipment, such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Romer Arm (both with PC-DMIS Software), calipers, bore gages, micrometers, height gages, and any other precision measuring devices, instruments, and equipment. The inspector will ensure products and services meet internal and external quality requirements.

**Rate of Pay**: $33 - $35/hr

**Duration**: At least 3 months

**Location**:Orange, CA

**Status**: Contract

**Schedule**: 6:00am - 2:30pm (M-F), or 5:00am - 1:30pm (M-F)

**Must be a U.S. citizen or Perm Resident**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform First Article, In-process, Final, and layout/AS9102 inspection
- Conduct receiving inspection of raw material, purchase parts, standards, and hardware
- Review completed work orders, product documentation, and inspection data for accuracy and completeness
- Program and perform layout inspection of forged, machined, and finished parts and assemblies using CMM and Romer Arm
- Interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, blueprints, and customer specifications
- Maintain quality records and files, and participate in quality audits and surveillances
- Work independently with mínimal supervision, prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- Support and maintain Quality Policy and standards, contributing to a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with ISO9000/AS9100 Quality Management System
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tooling, including preventive maintenance
- Detect, identify, and segregate nonconforming product
- Follow instructions related to enhanced/additional inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year experience using Romer Arm and/or CMM with PC-DMIS software
- Two years related inspection experience; or four years related experience and/or training
- Ability to use and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and use online data systems
- Aerospace experience preferred

**Physical Demands**:

- Regularly use hands and arms for handling and reaching
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
