Purpose of Job:
Key Responsibilities:

- Quality Data Integration and Management:

- Develop intricate connections between backend data structures to enhance the speed and accuracy of data retrieval and analysis.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and formats, transforming it into a unified format for analysis.
- Analyze and report on organizational quality data, including cost of poor quality, customer escapes, product performance, and process control metrics.
- Conduct Cpk analysis to evaluate process capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
- Data Processing and Analysis:

- Perform deep analysis of all data gathered in production and tests to identify secondary trends and anomalies.
- Process data from tests into reports with plots that clearly represent key results.
- Analyze environmental factors (e.g., room temperature) that may affect test results.
- Predictive Analytics and Trend Analysis:

- Utilize predictive analytics to forecast potential quality issues and recommend preventive actions.
- Develop models to predict trends and behaviors, enabling proactive measures to improve quality.
- Independently identify larger-scale trends in all test data gathered across multiple tests and programs.
- Dashboard Development:

- Develop and maintain dashboards that make complex data more digestible.
- Use dashboards to drive actions and improvements through the Quality Engineers across the entire business.
- Collaboration and Compliance:

- Collaborate with data scientists on the software team for large-scale data analysis and SPC activities.
- Work closely with technical teams to drive actions based on collective data insights.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Stay cognizant of Environmental, Health, and Safety issues, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with all industry specifications and standards.
- Perform other work functions as directed by Quality Management.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data analysis processes and methodologies.
- Implement best practices for data integrity, security, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in materials testing or quality engineering.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technologies and materials.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
- $110,000 - $157,000 a year
