The PO will strategically lead and manage relationships with foundations increasing impact and value for UCP of Central Arizona and its philanthropic partners. In this role the PO is responsible for the development and management of a portfolio of current and new foundation funders, as well as supporting service area initiatives and their fundraising and engagement strategies. This includes working with service area staff to build fundraising strategies and their case for support, while also building and leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of the organizations network. _*What you'll do...*_ *Fundraising*
- Participate in brainstorm, develop, and execute fundraising campaigns including but not limited to writing appeals, managing events (virtual and, eventually, in person) and targeted campaigns.
- Maintain a close relationship with the Director of Marketing and Development, and other Executive leaders to achieve fundraising goals and objectives for department and organizational goals.
- Continually work to solicit new donor prospects and steward existing foundations to achieve fundraising goals.
- Maintain a portfolio of 150 175 prospects from which to develop and execute strategies for engagement and solicitation, including planned or major gift giving opportunities. *Grants*
- Send acknowledgement letters and hand written thank yous for gifts
- Research new grant opportunities, both through past givers and new
- Work with internal and external grant committees to submit grants
- Keep track of submitted grants
- Submit grant reports in a timely manner *Donor Relationship Management*
- Provide high-quality experience for corporate donors with grant management, engagement, reporting, and stewardship.
- Identify, qualify, solicit, and steward a portfolio of approximately 150 new and existing foundation prospects (with capacity to make gifts from $5000 to $1,000,000+).
- Represent UCP at events, when safe and appropriate, to expand the organizations network and cultivate new prospects.
- Work with Marketing Manager on preparing communications and materials, designing meeting content, planning events, and coordinating activities with program colleagues.
- Document and track grants while completing all necessary paperwork for accounting and operational fulfillment. *Proposal Development Expertise*
- Work with senior leadership to cultivate new prospects, create compelling proposals, and steward existing foundation partners.
- Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of UCPs service areas and build strong working relationships with service area staff members.
- Translate highly technical information into accessible written and verbal communication to highlight the unique value of investment in UCP, and encourage corporations and sustainability leaders to support and engage with key programs and initiatives. *Strategy, Research & Operational Quality*
- Gather research and data, identify and assess foundation prospects, and develop engagement and cultivation strategies designed to realize the current and future philanthropic giving. Use Network for Good database to document real-time relationship management processes and provide accurate relationship status and financial projections for portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams, such, Accounting, and Finance to successfully manage corporate relationships.
- Collaborate with various Development verticals (Foundations and Government Funding) to leverage new and existing donor relationships and advance fundraising opportunities. _*What you'll bring.......*_ *Minimum: *Bachelors or AA degree from an accredited college in development fundraising, community resource development, non-profit management, and/or combination of education and demonstrated experience. One to two years of accomplished experience in donor management and fundraising in a non-profit organization. *Abilities/Skills:*
