**The Company**

**Summary**

Hitachi Particle Engineering and Services Inc. (HPES) is looking for a Service Technician. HPES provides service and maintenance of Proton Beam Therapy System (PBT) to customer/hospital and associated supports as assigned. PBT is highly advanced system for cancer treatment. The Service Technician will be responsible for monitoring a system status during a treatment and preventive/corrective maintenance. He/she will work as part of the team to ensure compliance of technical and mechanical programs such as; worker safety, spare parts program, tool management, equipment tagging, facility procedure compliance, administrative procedure compliance, office equipment and systems by following all necessary procedures, protocols and guidelines. A Service Technician needs to work at a hospital.

**Responsibilities**
- Need to work based on morning/evening shift.
- Responsible for keep the system running successfully to ensure medical treatments.
- Work urgently to recover from system failure during medical treatments.
- Work in compliance with all regulatory standards including customer/hospital policy, FDA, HIPPA, OSHA, internal company/site policies.
- Report/update a record of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), System Outage, Daily Shift Change Report, Daily Site Service Report. and TQA Work in a timely manner with including all relevant details.
- Share a current status information with team.
- Manage tools/equipment to obtain precise data for maintenance.
- Support for receiving and shipping parts and store them in Warehouse by handling with care.
- Complete and submit all timecards and expense reports in a timely fashion and need to include all relevant details.
- Appropriate dress code for working at hospital is required.

**Requirements**:

- College or bachelor’s degree in Scientific major (BS or AS) or more than three years of experience in related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working as an equipment technician for a PBT facility is preferred.
- Technical Skills to perform troubleshooting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working or education as a Technician or Field Service Engineer is required.
- At least 1 year of experience for PBT system and/or Medical device environment is preferred.
- Technically skilled with proven ability to troubleshoot problems, solve abstract issues, and interpret policies and procedures
- Ability to
- read and correctly interpret various engineering documents (schematics, wiring, piping diagrams, etc.)
- use standard electrical test and measurement instruments (Oscilloscope, etc.)
- safely work in regions of mechanical, electrical, high voltage and radiation.
- safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- work on elevated area with safety harnesses
- work as part of a cross-functional team
- maintain focus and work with precision over extended periods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word)
- Self-motivated and have strong sense of responsibility
- Develop and improve procedures
- Flexibility to cover rotating shifts and availability to work overtime as needed.
