As the **Central Safety & Security Director**, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Safety, Security & Facilities Director and **are responsible** for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Security staff across multiple sites.

**Your Essential Responsibilities**:
In this position, you will:

- Effectively transition from a staff with volunteers mentality to a volunteer driven mentality, including:

- Hiring and developing staff campus leaders who embody this approach
- Implementing volunteer leadership tiers that encourage lay leaders to take on additional responsibilities
- Develop and utilize volunteer job descriptions
- Commitment to developing volunteers who move through the PEO process - Participation, Engagement, and Ownership
- Ensure that all campus buildings and grounds are properly secured in accordance with established security and safety regulations
- Possess a strong understanding of the value of communications, including:

- Keeping appropriate staff aware of security work being done at a campus
- Semi-regularly communicating with all-staff on areas of importance
- Always asking who would benefit from being aware of what is happening
- Organizationally, creation and consistent implementation in the following areas:

- Operating Manual for Paid staff
- Operating manual for volunteer staff at each level of service
- Policies and procedures
- Shift to-do lists with sign-offs
- Recruit and hire new Security personnel
- Effectively supervise Security personnel, ensuring optimal performance
- Develop comprehensive training for personnel at all levels (paid and volunteer)
- Manage Security-Based projects, including:

- Research vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that equipment and services are acceptable quality, competitively priced, and delivered on time
- Work to develop and maintain productive relationships with SBC Ministries and outside professionals and Ministry partners
- Maintains updated serving teams of all your volunteers in Rock

As a Team Leader, you will:

- Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing your Team Member
- Foster a spirit of trust and of innovation on your team
- Meet personally with your Team Members at least once a month
- Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports

**Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential)**:

- Promote goodwill and a positive image and physical appearance of Scottsdale Bible Church
- Serve on advisory boards and committees as requested
- Related duties or special projects as assigned
- Participates in developing related budgets
