**Purpose**

The purpose of the Safety Manager role is to oversee and enforce all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. The role will be responsible for creating and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards. They will work closely with project teams, site supervisors, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and minimize risks on jobsites. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication capabilities, extensive critical thinking skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction safety practices.

**Responsibilities**
- Support and promote Gray Mechanical safety culture.
- Develops and delivers comprehensive safety training programs for new employee orientation.
- Develop and provide safety training and education to current employees on all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Create lifts plans for all necessary projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
- Manage/track licenses and certifications for all employees and ensure they remain up to date.
- Remain up to date on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of high school degree or G.E.D. required, bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience construction safety management or a related field is required.
- Experience leading company safety programs.
- Must be bilingual in English/ Spanish to properly communicate with all employees.
- Professional certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, OHST) preferred.
- Certified OSHA trainer, preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to travel to jobsites in and around the Greater Houston area.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
