Medical Front Desk/Receptionist position

**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OBTAINING INTRAVENOUS ACCESS- WILLING TO TRAIN**

Education, Training, and Job Requirements:

- Satisfactory completion of high school; satisfactory completion of college preferred, not required.
- Preferred six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to express thoughts clearly and concisely through written and verbal communication
- Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured
- Able to perform well independently
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Able and willing to be exact and precise
- Highly self-motivated
- Express team spirit and cooperation by regularly participating in staff conferences and sharing ideas among co-workers, leaders, and specialists
- Seeks and shares pertinent information related to insurance or internal processes
- Fluent is Spanish is a huge plus
- Maintains specialized knowledge in insurance processes, benefits, and guidelines, including authorizations and limitations
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of all required information prior to submission
- Performs accounts receivable functions including pursuing reimbursement, customer service, and record keeping.
- Update account insurance demographic information accordingly. Rebills accounts when necessary and documents all action taken. Ensures correspondence is scanned to the account.
- Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Provides customer service relating to all billing inquiries and complaints
- Follows HIPAA guidelines in handling customer information
- Use equipment, facilities, and materials appropriately as needed to do certain work

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to stand, stoop, and life and walk without restrictions
- Able to hear patients with correction, if necessary

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 45 per week
