We are seeking a Medical Biller/Coder to join our expanding Billing Team. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working in a growing company.

**Job Summary**:
The Medical Biller will process and follow up on Medicare and Medicaid billing, review remittance advice forms to verify proper reimbursement, and adjust as necessary.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Checks to ensure that the records for patients include all information required for reimbursement.
- Verifies correct coding to ensure prompt payment.
- Inputs correct billing information and transmit it electronically to the Medicare/Medicaid carrier.
- Consult with claim clerks in the Medicare/Medicaid office about any disputed claims and follows up on all bills not processed within the usual claim period.
- Reviews remittance advice forms to determine any adjustments made to bills as submitted and consults with the Medicare/Medicaid office.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports of billing for management.
- Attends training to keep abreast of changes in Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Must have verbal communication skills and hearing ability to discuss billing with medical staff, patients, and Medicare/Medicaid staff.
- Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology

**Education and Experience**:

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in medical billing, keyboarding, computers, business, or office practices.
- Excel and word

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
