**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Day-to-Day Management
- Manage, lead and mentor staff: provide daily training & development to FOH staff
- Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels
- Be present on the floor during service at all times, touching tables and making guest connections, while also increasing business by inviting guests back, enhancing their experience while they're dining. etc.
- Should be able to assist with local business outreach.
- Investigate, answer, and settle grievances in the absence of the general manager or FOH manager.
- Maintain all corporate policies.
- Update and track daily reports including, Venue comps, sales comps, void comps, etc.
- Assist other FOH staff to perform opening, closing, cleaning, bussing tables, running food, taking food orders, serving guests, assisting host staff, etc., as needed.
- Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements.
- Demonstrate a positive example. Coach, mentor, and train staff.Keep the management team abreast of any key issues.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 2 years professional experience, of which at least one year should be relevant management level restaurant experience or 2 years minimum Hospitality industry (hotel, front desk concierge, etc).
- Strong management skills are needed: organization, professionalism, grace under pressure, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and creative solution generation skills.
- General business acumen.
- Working knowledge of restaurant computer systems, especially TOAST.
- Quickly integrates into a team and is recognized as a leader.
- The ability to identify issues before they surface, develop solutions, and get the job done
- The ability to delegate effectively with a sense of professionalism.
- Willingness to work 10 + hours, and late nights as needed.
- Must be servsafe and TIPS certified

**Travel Requirements**:

- Must have reliable transportation to travel Island Spice, located in Edgewood, MD if needed for shift coverage.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through the shift; able to carry 25 or more pounds of supplies While performing the duties of this job, the Manager, stands, bends, lifts, and moves on a regular or frequent basis during working hours. Managers must be able to be on their feet for most of their shift. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move food, equipment, supplies, etc., more than twenty-five (25) pounds.
