Accounting/hr Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payable.
- Maintain vendor W-9 files.
- Track Use tax and ensure tax exemptions are received whenever applicable.
- Annual 1099 preparation.
Human Resources
- Assist with day-to-day operations of HR.
- Employee onboarding.
- Assist in maintaining and verifying time tracking data.
Other Responsibilities
- Tracking Requests for Quotes and customer Purchase Orders.
- Closing manufacturing jobs.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Organized
- High school diploma and 2 or more years related work experience
- Proficient in math, the ability to spot numerical errors, and the ability to trouble shoot problems
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to read and write in the English language
- Familiar with an ERP System
**Preferred Skills and Experience**:
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Ability to follow through and close actions with mínimal oversight
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Though not mandatory, practical experience working with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP)
- Knowledge of Epicor10 a plus
**Additional Requirements**:
- Must be able to lift a min. of 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to work all shift hours, overtime and weekends as needed
**ITAR Requirement**:
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
