As a Maryland State Inspector, you will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with all state regulations. Maryland State Inspectors License required for all applicants.
Our Used Car retail growth exceeds what we are currently able to handle in our shop and are looking to hire an additional Maryland State Inspector to assist with the workload. Looking to fill this position immediately.
The Maryland State Inspector would not be responsible for any customer service work nor communication with the advisor team, but rather, a dedicated MSI Reconditioning Manager for efficient approval processes. We take pride in our established process, effective recon software, and communication to make this easy for our Inspectors.
**Compensation & Benefits**:
- $1,800-$3,400 per week

**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct thorough and accurate vehicle inspections following Maryland state regulations
- Communicate effectively with dedicated MSI reconditioning manager and parts specialist
- Document and report any findings or issues with vehicles
- Make necessary repairs or recommendations for repairs to bring vehicles into compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and repairs performed
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times
- Keep up-to-date with all state inspection regulations and procedures
**Requirements**:
- Must be a certified Maryland State Inspector with a valid inspectors license
- Experience working in the automotive industry preferred
- Knowledge of all state regulations and procedures related to vehicle inspections
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must have own tools, we supply what's needed or the inspection station only
