Position Overview
As a Certified Automotive Safety Inspector at Tire Choice Auto Service Centers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. This position offers a comprehensive training program from day one, equipping you with the necessary skills to excel in your role while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections on all vehicles serviced, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform a variety of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including brakes, suspension, tire installation, and scheduled maintenance.
- Engage with customers to obtain approval for necessary repairs based on diagnostic findings.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Test drive vehicles to assess performance and identify any additional issues.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Possession of a valid Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ownership of a basic set of automotive tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
- Physical ability to work overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A focus on customer service and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certification in one or more areas (A1-A8).
- Completion of an automotive technical school program.
