World Relief seeks a Finance Specialist to provide financial, budget and expense management assistance to support the World Relief Chicagoland region for a limited term, 4-6 months. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position also works closely with the Senior Finance Specialists and the Program Managers.
- This is a position that is funded through a grant agreement until 12/31/2024 and is contingent upon funding extension._

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- _ Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._
- Maintain records and define allocations for all client related expenses and submit appropriate reclasses to Home Office (HO)
- Initiate payments (Checks & ACH payments) for all client expenses, including pocket money and distribute to the appropriate recipient.
- Assist with Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable tasks and function as a back-up
- Assist program staff with timecards and allocations as determined by the Senior Finance Specialists. Ensure appropriate codes are available in UKG Pro.
- Work the Budget Manager and other Senior Finance Specialists to prepare financial reports for grant reporting and internally for WR Chicagoland.
- Maintain records and define allocations and recommend proper coding of employee expenses for the grants managed
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance Team and Program Managers as needed

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:

- Excel knowledge
- Previous Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience preferred
- Account reconciliation experience preferred

**Requirements**:

- Excel/Finance knowledge Bachelor’s degree required
