**Position Title: Courts Maintenance Technician**

**Reports to: Director of Tennis & Pickleball**

**Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt**

**I. Essential Functions**

The Courts Maintenance Technician is responsible for the the cleanliness and “play-ready” condition of the racquet sports area.

**II. Job Duties**

The Court Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
A. Sweep tennis courts each morning and after morning play is complete.

B. Keep playing surfaces free of algae and debris.

C. Clear weeds from courts and surrounding area.

D. Replace broken parts on fences and prime and paint fences when needed.

E. Check courts daily for dead spots and advise Tennis Director.

F. Repair court liners.

G. Remove trash from pavilion and surrounding areas.

H. Remove used towels and replace with fresh towels in the pavilion.

I. Pavilion chairs to be in place daily.

J. Maintain ball machine and ball mower.

K. Uses the roller when the playing surface becomes to “loose”.

L. Replenish water jugs, cups, and towels at the tennis pavilion and at pickleball courts.

M. Cleans court drainage gutters, drains, and catch basins; installs, takes down, and repairs court wind screens.

N. Occasionally will be tasked with adding clay to tennis and bocce courts when needed.

O. Checks the trash cans on court throughout the day.

P. Picks up any tennis balls that make their way into the bushes and or outside the courts.

Q. Maintains and grooms the Bocce courts daily.

R. Responsible for keeping the “tennis shed” in a clean, neat and organized manner.

S. Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in Courts maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to get along with people.
- Responsible self-starter with the desire and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

**Skills**
- Ability to work independently and is a self-starter
- Ability to work in teams and take direction
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Outstanding time management and prioritization abilities

**Physical Demands**

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is an outside position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand on their feet for extended periods of time, walk; kneel, stoop, crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or carry items up to 30 pounds.
