SPA FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE POSITION - (Old Town Alexandria)

We are looking for a Front Desk Associate for Aida Spa Old Town, in Alexandria, VA. This position undertakes all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the "face" of the company for all clients and will be responsible for the first impression we make.

The hours are as follows and are somewhat flexible:
9:00AM - 5:00PM TUESDAY TO SATURDAY

This is a permanent full time position and is NOT a seasonal or part time employment opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The job consists of a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

- Keeping the front desk tidy and presentable with all the necessary materials
- Greeting and welcoming guests
- Answering the phone
- Scheduling appointments
- Making appointment confirmation calls
- Handling customer payments
- Answering questions and addressing complaints
- Keeping updated records and files
- Taking on additional duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior front-desk/administrative experience in a spa setting is helpful, but not required.
- Must have excellent customer service orientation skills (e.g., a positive attitude)
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g., fax, printer, etc.)
- Knowledge of office management and basic book-keeping
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication and people skills (e.g., the ability to communicate effectively)
- Problem-solving skills
- Minimum of a high school diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
- Good team player
