**IDEAL CANDIDATE**

Incumbents have excellent analytical, communication, case management and organizational skills; are detailed oriented; able to interpret both medical and legal reports to make sound recommendations; represent the organization to both internal and external stakeholders; and possess excellent leadership skills.

A background in workers' compensation, risk management, legal or paralegal studies is highly desirable.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- A **bachelor's degree **from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in business administration, finance, economics, accounting or other closely related field; **AND,**:

- ** Two (2) years **of experience in a public or private agency (preferably a California government agency) in the direct administration of, or managing, reviewing, evaluating, investigating, and processing reports and claims concerning on-the-job injuries, job-related illnesses, or physical disability claims.

**Note**: Additional years of experience as described above may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
