national, and international manufacturers and distributors.

**About the Position**

The need for a strong operations team to support our growing businesses is critical to the long-term success of Best Yet Express (BYX) and Best Yet Logistics (BYL). The Operations Manager provides execution of operational plans, leadership, and a support layer for day-to-day business challenges. They are deeply involved in both internal and external operations of the business from customer support through dispatch and trucking services to warehousing. The Operations Manager has a visible role in the organization and forms working relationships to collaborate and inspire results. The incumbent will have the ability to think on their feet, be responsive, and accountable while working with a high level of autonomy.

**Common Duties and Responsibilities**

**Management**
- Participate in regular management meetings providing updates on assigned projects and presenting issues to the rest of the leadership team for discussion
- Oversee timely completion of projects and accurate reporting of metrics
- Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to department supervisors
- Acknowledge, promote, and share employee successes with the company
- Identify opportunities to develop and train team members
- Partner with HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Contribute to a healthy business culture acting in support of company values
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws

**Daily Operations**
- Provide escalation support for customer concerns and dispatch
- Oversee quality of customer service with internal and external customers
- Ensure excellence in customer communication
- Develop rapport with driver and dock teams
- Manage maintenance and safety for company assets including trucks, trailers, and tools
- Monitor quality of work and service delivery identifying opportunities for improvement
- Cross-train in dispatch, customer service, and dock operations for leave and emergency coverage support

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with warehouse and trucking operations
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule that may include occasional early mornings
- Four years’ experience managing and supervising others

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,

assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and

disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Bilingual in Spanish, highly preferred

Pay: $83,109.00 - $90,612.00 per year
