Ultimately, the General Manager - Auction Operations should be driven by a desire to lead our business to maximum productivity and efficiency.**Objectives of this role**
- Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes
- Act as the lead project manager on strategic projects across the organization, ensuring projects are completed on time
- Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas

**Responsibilities**
- Partner with the division heads of Consignments, Marketing, and Operations to implement firmwide strategy and transformation goals
- Evaluate existing operations and logistics procedures, make recommendations to streamline procedures, and drive adoption across the firm
- Collaborate alongside division heads on all sale related activity including management of sale calendar, cataloguing, execution of marketing, operations, post-sale, staffing, and travelling exhibitions
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and assist with the allocation of resources to meet objectives
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively

**Required skills and qualifications**
- Proven success in a managerial role
- Proven ability to develop project plans and achieve goals
- Experience with logistics and/or inventory management
- Strong decision-making ability
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures and logistics
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field

**Benefits**
- Compensation: Base Salary ($110,000 - $150,000 based on experience) and Bonus eligible
