Administrative Support Assistant

Thompson Coburn, a large full-service law firm with offices in eight (8) cities across the U.S., is in search of an Administrative Support Assistant / Legal Administrative Assistant Trainee to fill a full-time non-exempt position in its New York office. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence and reports from rough draft form.
- Input invoices and expense reports in Chrome River for processing.
- Assist in requesting conflict of interest reports with the appropriate department and opening new clients and/or matters through the Firm’s software program.
- Prepare client binders for the practice area to which assigned, and prepare client documents with signing instructions, where appropriate.
- Perform overflow assistance to attorneys and legal support staff in a team environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in an administrative capacity required.
- Prior experience which required excellent organizational and communication skills preferred.
Compensation:
For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in New York City, the expected salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
