We are seeking a compassionate, detail oriented, dedicated, energetic, skilled **Part-time Admission & Move-in Coordinator **to support our mission of providing, “an affordable, loving home and quality assisted care for older adults who have limited financial means.” As the Admission & Move-in Coordinator you will play a vital role in creating the first impression image to potential new residents, their family members and the community at large. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

**Duties**:

- Extend extraordinary customer service externally to referral sources, residents, families, etc. and internally to supervisors, clinical and non-‐clinical staff members.
- Make contact with community resources to make them aware of SFM's vacancies and residential availability.
- Respond to inquiries and engage with callers to provide information regarding community residential admission opportunities and qualifications.
- Give community tours.
- Assist new residents and their family members in navigating the admissions process and ensure all required documentation is submitted.
- Receive admission paperwork and disseminate as needed.
- Coordinate move-ins; receive, welcome and introduce new admissions.
- Manage the new move-in admission paperwork and process.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**: Able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Able to effectively read, write, and understand English, and comply with regulations required for assisted living facilities operating in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Demonstrated experience in customer service and relations. Knowledge of principles and techniques of Assisted Living sales approaches; federal and state regulations related to long term care; characteristics of the resident population; and methods of collaboration with colleagues and other health care professionals. Must be able to demonstrate good teamwork skills using effective communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and effectively work with potential residents and families, staff, team members, and others. Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work; make decisions and solve problems; and resolve conflict through use of facility policy and procedures. Skilled in the use of computers, and working with numbers (quantitative skills). Able to function effectively, react calmly, and confidently in emergency situations and a highly interactive environment. Able maintain regular attendance.

**Minimum Education and Experience**: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a related field with a minimum of two years Assisted Living marketing, sales and admission experience, as well as working directly with individuals in a health care setting.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
