**SUMMARY**

The Business office Manager is responsible for managing the business office functions to include review and preparation of all invoices and patient account files, answering inquiries from vendors and patients regarding accounts, monitors outstanding accounts and reviews all billing accuracy.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred - Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare or business setting.
- Two years of Business Office Supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good written and verbal communication skills.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for managing the department’s operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedure and professional standards.
- Manages all activities so that business office functions are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintain department productivity measures; reports status monthly
- Coordinates department activities in a manner, consistent with organization-wide programs and procedures.
- Assist in establishing department policies and procedures that reflect they organization’s standards..
- responsible for controlling the fiscal management of the department and ensures the proper utilization of the organization’s financial resources
- Maintains accurate files in the business office
- Properly perform and utilizes Meditech modules, and any applicable system required
- Compliance reviews and prepares all invoices for CEO approval in accounts payable processing.
- Reviews DRGs and post DRG code numbers and amounts on face sheets.
- Reviews outlier forms and inform CEO of any outlier
- Demonstrates willingness to be efficient and cost-effective via:

- matches invoices and purchase orders and make corrections or call vendors when necessary
- Called all invoices with vendor and expense account numbers
- Promote efficient use of departmental supplies and equipment
- Works intra and inter - departmentally to ensure cost-effective utilization
- Receives an answers inquiries from vendors regarding purchase orders and invoice accounts, payable check and related matters
- Identifies charges to be billed to insurance companies, Medicare or other third parties
- Monitors accounts and Identifies past Do accounts
- Receives and answers inquiries from patients, insurance companies, Medicare, or other parties regarding billing
- Reviews all billing for completeness and accuracy before transmitting to corporate office
- Manages human resources to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations
- Consistently and fairly implements, human resources policies
- Perform and facilities completion of performance evaluation in a timely manner
- Develops performance goals/objectives which each staff member to promote maximum productivity, proficiency and professional growth, as evidence by written goals on performance appraisals
- Follows human resources, policies, and progressive discipline, when necessary
- Responsible for accuracy of department payroll; including approval via Kronos
