**Essential Job Functions**:

- Implement, document, maintain, and enhance district information systems.
- Provide training and support to teachers, staff, parents, and end users.
- Inform teachers, staff, parents, and end users of changes in district information systems.
- Evaluate support processes for district information systems and provide feedback for areas of improvement.
- Research updates and changes in district information systems and make recommendation for increased efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and provide processes to correct data integrity issues.
- Design documentation and training medium for district information systems.
- Provide various ad hoc and custom reports as needed (i.e. GPA/Rank, Scheduling, Discipline, Grading)
- Support administrative and clerical staff to complete major projects and tasks as needed including the collection, editing, and reporting of PEIMS data collections.
- Support the PEIMS department with state and federal data collections.
- Monitor end user access and authorization within district information systems.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
- Perform necessary configuration and setup of district information systems.
- Assist in the development of processes regarding district information systems.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
- Dependable performance requires reliable and dependable attendance.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.

Employees carry out system and network administration functions independently, with a sound understanding of the interactions between hardware, operating system software and network operations and the design and administrative requirements to ensure an efficient, reliable, secure infrastructure.

Work environment includes typical computer related noise levels and paper and equipment generated dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Incumbent is on call to provide support services during off hours. Periodically scheduled night and weekend work is required. Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and use of peripheral equipment.

The employee is expected to bring projects to conclusion, including development of operating procedures, instruction and training, and required documentation. Work is performed and technical decisions made with some latitude for independent judgment. Regularly perform multiple, highly complex tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions and compliance with legal guideline.
