**Position Overview**:
The Mental Health Credentialing Specialist plays a critical role in the administrative backbone of Marpa Minds, ensuring that all mental health professionals within our center are credentialed, verified, and compliant with state and federal regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in the credentialing process, healthcare policies, and regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the credentialing process for all new and existing providers, including verification of education, training, and certifications.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all provider credentials, certifications, and licenses.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to credentialing.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to complete provider enrollment and ensure the continuity of billing processes.
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and credentialing standards, adjusting processes as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between providers, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or lapses in credentialing.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in credentialing, preferably in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, credentialing processes, and accreditation standards.
- Proficient in credentialing software and databases.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex interactions between providers, insurers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
