**JOB SUMMARY: 3(16) Account Manager - Remote**

Maintain client/advisor relationship; perform compliance testing; contribution calculations; Form 5500 preparation and working with auditors. 3(16) are fiduciary responsibilities that MP's Client takes on for the Employer; this includes determining when an employee is eligible for the retirement plan; they deliver initial and annual notices to participants; track the timing of contribution deposits; sign/file the 5500 and work with the plan's auditor. Account Managers are not responsible for doing these tasks as we have a group dedicated to tracking these tasks. See below for essential responsibilities of our Account Managers

**Essential Responsibilities: Account Manager - Remote**
- Provide high level of service to clients and advisors.
- Ensures all clients are receiving feedback and resolution to their inquiries on a daily basis
- Interpret plan documents.
- Analyzes census to determine eligibility.
- Calculate employer contributions based on the plan's provisions and confirms with client amount of annual funding.
- Preparation of annual non-discrimination tests (ADP/ACP; 415; 402(g), 416, 410(b) and ability to discuss testing results with client
- Prepare Government Forms: 5500 and Related Schedules, 5558, 5330, 8955 and works with plan's auditor and ability to discuss Forms with the client.
- Reconciliation of trust assets
- Review and approve participant requested loans and distribution requests.
- Identifies and completed RMD distributions.
- Advises clients on new plan design options and completes plan studies when needed.
- Oversee assigned Administrator to ensure deadlines are met timely.
- Attends client and advisor calls/meetings upon request with approval from assigned Manager.
- Annual year-end clean-up to include follow-up on forfeiture re-allocations, source transfers determined during the compliance review.
- Work with clients to terminate their plan.

**3(16) Responsibilities**:

- Works with 3(16) Project Manager to ensure eligibility is determined correctly for each entry date.
- Works with assigned Manager to create and deliver APRs annually.
- Point of contact for client questions on his case load.
- Amendment Requests - Update Platform and 3(16) Tracking and Signature Follow-up with Clients.
- Enrollment Kit Plan Specs changes during amendment process.
- Amendment Mailing PensionPro Initiation.
- Creates Amendment Project in PensionPro.
- AdHOC Billing Entries for Special 3(16) requests.
- Amendments - Update Relius Specs.
- Audit point of contact and handles all audit requests

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Experience**:

- 5+ years of retirement plan compliance experience with the following...
- Thorough knowledge of ERISA, IRS & DOL regulations regarding qualified plans.
- Experience in an unbundled TPA shop (A-Z mentality)
- Experience working with record-keepers (Nationwide, Empower, Transamerica, etc.)
- Proficient in Relius compliance software
- Experience preparing Form 5500 and working with auditors
- Hands on compliance testing: Census scrubbing, non-discrimination testing, eligibility determination, calculating employer contributions, and more.
- Ability to maintain caseload of 45-55 mostly larger defined contribution plans, including 401(k) and 403(b).
- Excellent Client Relationship Skills, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned client's compliance testing valuation reporting and tax fillings.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS: Preferred education, experience, designations, etc.**
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required based on experience.
- Working knowledge of Sungard Relius Compliance Software & FT Williams Government forms a plus.
- 3 (16) Fiduciary Services Knowledge a plus.
