The Director of North County Business Development is responsible for understanding the prospect base in Northern San Diego and Southern Orange Counties and leveraging modern sales processes and tools to uncover new opportunities. The Director of North County Business Development will take ownership of generating the sales needed for a thriving business and implement a proven system for filling, developing, and maintaining a rich pipeline of potential business.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Leads sales, marketing, customer-service, and client relationship management.
- Participates in networking activities that support business development in local territory.
- Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased market share.
- Builds and manage relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, & vendors.
- Evaluates existing partnership and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
- Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across teams and work functions.
- Helps to shape the company’s long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
- Expands the profile and reach of the company.
- Identifies and recommends new services.
- Conducts presentations to raise the brand and company profile.
- Tracks emerging markets and trends.
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities.
- Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Excellent understanding of the mechanics of complex selling, have a process for lead generation and thrive on prospecting activity.
- Excellent relationship building, presentation, sales, & negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys working in a transparent position and working in a team atmosphere.
- This is an autonomous position and requires self-sufficiency and self-motivation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

**Education and Experience**:

- 5+ years of outside sales security industry experience with proof of meeting and exceeding quota.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master’s degree is advantageous.

**Physical Requirements**:
Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time and stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building to perform duties. Able to read from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours at a time, including fonts of various sizes from various sources.

Salary Range - $75,000 per year plus commission.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
