The **VP/GM** is the Site Leader responsible for the joint delivery of business unit and function operational objectives with a population of approximately 1,200 associates within ADP Norfolk and the expectation of continued growth. This leader brings together a site leadership/champion team with the mission to create a site wide environment of associate engagement and career growth and development where current and future associates can learn, thrive, and drive our collective success.

You are responsible for providing business unit and function support to achieve our overall business and location goals; continues to build upon our strong ADP values, leadership and culture and extending our employer of choice brand in the community. The **VP/GM** will develop and lead initiatives and strategies that bring together associates and leaders in the pursuit of our OneADP Pillar goals (i.e., Career, Community & Culture).

As Site Leader, the **VP/GM** measures, defines, and monitors risk in the business and location portfolio. Ensures timely reporting and proactive action planning during risk events. Acts as a valued partner to all business unit leaders by understanding their needs, building their awareness of local successes, challenges, and risks, and acting as a local point of escalation for senior ADP Leadership. Has awareness of operational performance, productivity, quality, and overall effectiveness metrics across the location through cross reports and business unit and function driven dashboards. Drives the ADP brand within the local community, among associates, and with ADP associates and leaders across ADP.

**What you’ll do**:

- _Supporting associates from new hire onboarding throughout their CAREER journeys. _
- _Building a strong presence in the COMMUNITY to be a talent magnet and attract new business and partnerships._
- _Fostering a CULTURE of collaboration and camaraderie, crafting a differentiated environment for associates and our company to succeed by breaking silos, engaging in best practices, and making sure every team member feels included._
- Operates within a highly matrixed environment and forms strong and collaborative cross Business Unit /Function executive relationships. Has shared accountability for people and service delivery, including dotted line responsibility for local leaders.

**Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Provides cross business unit (BU) and functional leadership through a series of effective communication devices: leadership meetings, leadership roundtables, written communications, one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Provides local Senior Leader presence for associates; roundtables, quarterly town hall meetings and key communications to all onsite associates (i.e., ADPworks, BRG's, Diversity Councils, etc.). Provides local guidance and support to internal associate activities committees and business.
- Creates onsite senior leadership team and serves as senior leader, advisor, and mentor.
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Belonging organizations to develop local associate and external pipelines and programs, to build inclusive talent pools, interns, aged requisitions, etc.
- Works with business unit and functional leadership to expand cross-BU associate and leadership and career enhancement opportunities.
- Represents ADP in the Norfolk business community. Serves on local boards and committees as required.
- Responsible for managing local budgets, headcount forecasts, space allocation and requirements.
- Acts as Crisis/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity leader for the location.
- Drives improvements in associate engagement, associate retention, and associate tenure expansion and with the goal of achieving the same or better metrics than ADP averages.
- Expected travel up to 25%.

**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE**:

- College degree required. Advanced degree, or equivalent in work experience, preferred.
- Seasoned Leader with senior-level experience.
- Successful track record leading large, multi-functional organizations required.
- Experience leading solution center focused organizations a plus.
- Clear evidence of success in introducing change and assisting teams to implement change and sustainable process improvements.
- Clear evidence of sharing a vision and achieving alignment toward that objective.
- Clear evidence of innovative thought and analysis to solve business problems.
- Clear evidence of success using influence and collaboration skills.
- Internal (ADP) and external (community) communication skills.
- Evidence of success in Talent and Leadership Development.
- Community leadership experience.
