We have an immediate opening for Full-Charge Bookkeeper. This position is responsible for A/P and A/R, General Ledger transactions, Job Costing, and financial reporting to the President regarding profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and company profitability. Also has primary responsibility for answering phones. Position is full-time with hours ranging from 32-36 per week; Monday
- Friday schedule.

**Essential Functions**:

- Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Prepares and compiles month end financial, job cost reports, and other items pertinent to the operation of business
- Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts
- Prepare and/or oversee compliance reporting, including: quarterly 941 payroll tax reporting, annual W2/W3 & 940 payroll tax reporting, property taxes, sales & use taxes
- Processes credit card transactions and posts payments to customer accounts.
- Summarizes details in Excel files and transfers data to general ledger
- Reconciles and balances accounts
- Completes records to or through trial balance
- Interacts with banking institutions as needed
- Communication with outside accountant for year end procedures
- Assist with other projects as needed

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Certified Bookkeeper highly desirable
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- Previous experience in a construction, landscaping or similar industry preferred
- Minimum of 5 years A/P and A/R experience
- Minimum of 5 years G/L experience
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel & Office; experience with Quickbooks Desktop a plus
- Ability to develop good working relationships with a diverse workforce
- Previous experience working for a business that accepts credit cards for payment of services
- Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee or company news and situations
- Ability to plan ahead, juggle multiple responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines
- Attention to organization, detail and accuracy
- Timely and reliable attendance
