_Join our team to give young students the opportunity to experience a fun and meaningful summer. Our YMCA's Y Scholars Program is seeking Camp Leaders to work with kids (K-6th Grade) in our YMCA Summer Camp _
- _You must be available to work May 27 - July 5. (Training - Week of 5/27)_
- _This is a temporary full-time position (some part-time positions available too)._
- _Your typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm._
- _You will be assigned to work at a school site in Piedmont._
- The Group Leader position will end at the end of summer camp. There may be opportunities to be hired on to join the afterschool program teams for the 2024-2025 school year._

We seek people who believe in our vision and want to contribute to impacting the youth in our communities. You will work with the team's Site Coordinator to provide academic achievement, physical play, and creativity enrichment opportunities to the kids in our YMCA Y Scholars Program. Be willing to learn. Take action to engage and inspire students, staff, and volunteers.
**About the YMCA Y Scholars Program**
We work with schools in West Contra Costa and Oakland to create afterschool programming that focus on student enrichment in creativity, academic achievement, and physical play. Together, we guide underserved children and families to reach their full potential.
**Your Leadership Responsibilities**
- Supervise groups of 15-20 students
- Plan lessons and lead daily activities (academic, enrichment, or physical)
- Record and track attendance
- Collaborate with team to create a clean and safe learning environment
**Your Qualifications**:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have completed 48 college units or passed the Instructional Aid (IA) Exam
- (We will offer IA Exam if the above is not met.)
- Pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check
- Have CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire
