**Responsibilities**:

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, ocular surface disease, foreign body/ anterior segment diseases, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Provide pre
- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices
- Maintain accurate medical records. We use Crystal Practice Management for EMR.
**Requirements**:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- State licensure to practice optometry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient care
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for maintaining a sterile environment
