Optometrist - PD

As an Optometrist with Kaiser Permanente, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to our members, including visual examinations, detection and diagnosis of eye conditions, and provision of optometric care. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and promote member satisfaction.

• Conduct thorough visual examinations, including detection and differential diagnosis of abnormal visual, ocular, and systemic conditions.
• Provide complete and high-quality optometric care services to members, including writing prescriptions for ophthalmic spectacles, contact lenses, and other vision correction devices.
• Perform specialized testing and therapy, such as contact lens examinations, visual fields, tonometry, and low vision evaluation.
• Maintain compliance with all current organizational, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Optometry.
• Work effectively as a team member with other areas of Vision Services, including Optical Lab and Optical Dispensing.

• Graduate of a school or college of Optometry accredited by the California State Board of Optometry.
• Optometrist License (California).
• National Provider Identifier.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and apply the principles, theories, practices, and techniques of optometric practice, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and mechanics of the human eye.

• Completion of a one (1) year ACOE accredited residency program.

• Hours and days will vary.
• Will be required to float to all Riverside MSA locations.
• Required to perform full scope of practice.
