**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY**

As an Child Care Integrity and Accountability Program Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

- Developing, collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and disseminating information essential to child care programs under the auspices of Office of Child Care (OCC) from a wide range of sources.
- Identifying program trends, achievements, and best practices, as well as gaps or concerns related to full implementation of Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).
- Identifying, researching, and analyzing statutory, regulatory, and policy issues related to child care programs to formulate compliance decisions.
- Assessing and analyzes the needs of State, Territories and Tribes, including needs for technical assistance and policy clarification.
- Recommending and implementing appropriate administrative and procedural changes for more effective and efficient oversight of program integrity and accountability administration of the child care program nationwide.
- Preparing presentations, administrative tracking procedures, logistics, agendas, and materials.

**Basic Qualifications**:
You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C):

- A. Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Must provide transcripts)
- B. Possess a combination of education and experience - that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (Must provide transcript)
- C. Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- **AND**

Minimum Qualifications:

- You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the **GS-12** level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:

- 1. Tracking and analyzing information from a wide range of sources related to program integrity and error rate data, improper payment reports, technical assistance assessments, or other relevant materials for a child care or other early childhood development program.
- 2. Auditing, and assessing child care or other early childhood program compliance of requirements at the Federal, State, Tribal, and/or local, County level.
- 3. Developing or providing input into written processes, protocols, and guidelines on matters to include or related to audits, program integrity and accountability activities of a child care and/or other early childhood program.
- 4. Managing multiple projects and priorities within tight timeframes.
