**Starting Salary**:$3,743 per month

**Work Schedule**:Able to work occasional evening and weekend hours. In addition, this position may require occasional travel.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of relevant experience working with student success initiatives for undergraduate students

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Ability to multi-task and work with groups of people and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented
- Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- More than five years of experience in program management including some course management and academic counseling, and classroom instruction
- Familiarity with TAMU portals, such as Argos, Navigate, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Student Success Programming**:Contributes with others to the planning, development, and implementation of current and new undergraduate student programs to improve first year retention and empower students. Particularly first-generation students, to succeed academically, professionally, and socially. Supports the establishment of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and strategic planning. Assists with the development of and updates training materials for success programming. Presents content to undergraduate students in group settings, or on an individual basis. Plans and/or leads program events and projects each semester as determined by Program Manager. Advises cohort of assigned students in relation to academic, social, and professional goals. Assists in reviewing and integrating successful support techniques for cohort students who are in an academic concern status. Ensures student non-academic needs are being identified and making a connection to appropriate resources and/or suggesting implementing concepts to meet student needs through our office. Follows university protocols regarding student's concern, Title IX, FERPA, etc. Communicates in a timely manner with students regarding program events and updates. Responds to inquiries from students, faculty and others regarding program policies, procedures, and requirements, making referrals as appropriate. Uses various TAMU portals to provide up-to-date information, and to provide data on first-year programming. Prepares reports on program activities. Contributes to evaluation and assessment needs. Attends local, regional, and national professional meetings related to undergraduate student success, particularly first-generation student success.
- **Supervision**:Collaborates in the coordination and assignment of student mentors for programs. Serves as direct contact and supervisor for assigned group of student leaders.
- **Collaboration with Faculty, Advisors and Coordinators to Support Student Success Outcomes**:Collaborates and maintains successful working partnerships with faculty, academic advisors, and peer Program Coordinators. May teach a course for relevant program.
