The City of South Portland is currently seeking a 37.5 hour a week Licensing Administrator to join our City Clerk’s office. The City of South Portland currently has a 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday). The schedule for this position will include 37.5 work hours over 4 days each week. We are looking for a positive person to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone who would enjoy working with the public in a role that connects citizens and other City staff, and who enjoys multi-tasking and doing something different every day.

**Position Summary**:Responsible for assisting in the operation of the City Clerk’s Office. Responsible for duties delegated by the City Clerk regarding the issuance of various state and municipal business licenses. Responsible for assuming duties in the absence of the City Clerk.

**Education**:High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

**Experience**:A minimum of two (2) years of City/Town Clerk experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

**Starting Salary Range**:$25.32 - $30.82/hour ($49,374 - $60,099) depending on experience. The position is eligible for annual step increases, and possible annual cost of living increases as approved by the City Council.
