Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as our lead video editor. This role will sit within our Creative Marketing Team, while working day-to-day with our Integrated Marketing, Social Media, Paid Media, Videography and Production teams. This role requires a unique blend of creative flair, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for collaborating with various teams to produce high-quality video content that aligns with our brand identity and marketing objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success of our organization with an eye towards building best-in-class content optimized for performance across a variety of owned and paid channels.

You are passionate for visual media with a strong understanding of crafting narratives for specific platforms and their audiences. You are a natural storyteller and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working under tight deadlines and you will routinely need to balance multiple projects and competing priorities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Weave stories together and craft narratives from existing and new raw footage that aligns with marketing strategies, product launches and key campaigns
- Interpret campaign strategies into video deliverables that are optimized for business goals - both upper and lower funnel
- Edit and refine content to meet quality standards, visually appealing, and optimized for platforms, including short
- and long-form videos.
- Collaborate with Organic Social and Performance Marketing team to ensure videos align with storyboards, maintain visual consistency and meet brand guidelines.
- Expert with audio assembly, choosing appropriate music and SFX to enhance the impact of the story
- Experience with motion effects as well as color grading
- Stay up to date on internet and automotive culture, staying nimble and open to experimenting with new creative concepts
- Identify and monitor emerging social media trends and technologies
- Contribute to other projects when needed
- Fluent in Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, DaVinici Resolv

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of videography and video editing experience
- 4+ years experience creating content for social media
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Extensive knowledge of social media best practices and content formats across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Threads and TikTok
- Portfolio demonstrating storytelling across a variety of channels
- Experience with motion graphics and animation a plus
- Intriguing storyteller, out of the box thinker and engaging personality
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Exceptional presentation skills for internal creative presentations
- Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to change directions quickly
- Ability to receive feedback and execute modifications to in-progress projects
- Attention to detail, strategic thinking and instincts for creative storytelling
- Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines
- A passion for organic and paid social media
- Collaborative spirit; sense of humor and shared purpose

Pay Disclosure:
**Salary Range for California Based Applicants**: $112,000 to $140,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

**Benefits Summary**: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
