We have a vacancy for a **Financial Analyst **to join our global Finance team, based within our US office in Austin, Texas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Take ownership of daily bookkeeping for US business (including accounts payable/receivable, journal inputs, reporting and month-end processes)
- Maintain ongoing shadow settlement and P&L reports for current ERCOT operations, with additional RTO/ISO markets likely to be added in the future
- Gather, confirm, reconcile, and invoice all activity from trading and asset operations
- Reconcile the settlement accounts on a monthly basis ensuring a clear delineation between all counterparty funds
- Perform the US bank reconciliation and monitor working capital flows throughout the US business
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed by the Settlements team and Finance team
- Support the FC and CFO by being the on-the-ground representative of the Finance team

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record of exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets
- Familiarity with financial accounting concepts and month end processes, including experience with bookkeeping or accounting software
- An adaptive, self-led mindset, with the ability to solve problems independently and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to develop internal and external partner relationships and deliver outstanding client service
- Interpersonal skills to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration both within the team and across the organization
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Extra credit if you can demonstrate:

- Experience in ERCOT or other North American power markets
- Experience writing (or an interest in learning to write) SQL queries or Python
- Experience or interest in developing automations for reports and processes
- Experience working in an international environment, across geographies and timezones
- An open attitude to obtaining experience outside of primary role and supporting business needs as they arise
