HR/payroll Coordinator

Overview:
- **Requirements**:_
- Bachelor's degree in finance or human resources preferred.
- Minimum 2-year experience in HR, preferably in a multi-unit QSR market.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with a HRIS/HCM software is a MUST.
- Excellent follow-up skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Spanish Bilingual preferred.
- **The HR/Payroll Coordinator's duties include, but are not limited to**:_
- Pre-employment: Manage onboarding communications and timely completion; administer background checks and prepare offer letters.
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing; administer pay changes, promotions, and terminations in the HCM/payroll software; cut final checks as needed and send them out.
- Benefit Administration: Ensures timely benefit enrollments by overseeing enrollment communications and proactively communicating with newly eligible employees.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Manage I-9 process and compliance and maintain personnel records.
- Unemployment Process and respond to unemployment claims, employment verifications, and personnel files as requested by agencies or upper management.
- Create Payroll Journal Entries from our payroll system and upload them into the company's ERP.
- Assist in miscellaneous requests and ad-hoc projects as needed and as assigned by the Senior HR manager and the Controller.
