Water Jet Operator

**Summary**:
The water jet operator will support and operate the CNC water jet machine which is programmed to cut patterns out of stainless steel or nickel alloy.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of water jet including production, quality, and accuracy of production logs and daily maintenance checklists.
- Monitor consumables and report any deficiencies immediately.
- Set up work orders on machine and verify material to be cut per work order.
- Utilize overhead cranes to move materials and to load/offload cutting table of scrap and finished parts.
- Operate forklift to load and unload material.
- Update material remnant cards and measure material left over after cutting process.
- Check quality of parts off machine including measurements, cutting edges, and edge taper.
- Work with QA on all matters of quality to include cut parts, cutting tolerances, quality statistics and ISO 9001 certification.
- Keep work area clean and organized including washing machine down and sweeping around machine.
- Be a team player. Assist other co-workers and fill in as material handler, receiver, or shipper as needed.
- Daily maintenance includes checking consumables, rebuild parts of the machine, cleaning and checking filters on different areas of machine.
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:
- Prior Water Jet cutting table experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma required or Equivalent.
- Need to have basic computer operation experience.
- Ability to work with others safely and professionally.
- Attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug and alcohol screen.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, twist, turn, squat, kneel, push, pull, and lift
- Reach overhead and outward
- Specific vision abilities required include; close, distance, peripheral, focus, and adjust
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Wear appropriate safety equipment
- Requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area where environment is affected by outside temperatures and machining.
Pay range: $20.00 - $23.00 depending upon experience
