**Summary**:The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to HR within the company as directed or needed. Is part of an HR team which provides HR support to all employees.

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and update compliance documentation for all employees; including but not limited to Annual and Pre-employment Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR’s), Clearinghouse queries, Driver License expiration date, Medical Card expiration dates, etc.
- Documents employee job-related injuries; provides All injury information to HR Generalist.
- Full cycle employee “on-boarding” (I-9, background checks, etc.) and “off-boarding” processes.
- Assists in conflict resolution is addressed quickly and accurately.
- Maintains record of employee’s performance reviews and disciplinary actions (ex. Warnings).
- Assists in training initiatives as needed.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns to resolution and reminds supervisors and managers to address employee concerns correctly and consistently.
- Ensure accurate employee information is in the HRIS systems (ADP).
- Assists in tracking important HR metrics and their impact on the business.
- Works with HRIS, payroll systems, time and attendance systems, and ensures data integrity.
- Serves as a partner to payroll manager as needed.
- Assists with annual benefits, open enrollment and issue resolutions.
- Works with HR Generalist and the Safety Team to respond to claims and create/maintain records of accidents.
- Any other related duties as assigned or required.

**Required qualifications**:

- 1+ years of experience in HR, Admin or Customer Service Assistant roles
- 1+ years of employee relations or customer service experience
- Excellent English verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must have valid references
- Must be a team player and able to maintain positive relationships with all employees and managers.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Prior experience in the moving industry
