Under supervision of the Contracts and Compliance Manager, the Enrollment Specialist determines eligibility and enrolls families in the family child care program. The Enrollment Specialist also conducts community outreach and provides administrative support to assigned ECE sites.
**Responsibilities**:
Enrollment and Eligibility
- Determine eligibility based on contract guidelines.
- Process timely certification and recertification of families at various intervals.
- Conduct file audits to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Ensure enrollment is at full capacity.
- Maintain updated waitlist of families seeking enrollment.
- Maintain updated family information and communicate status changes to program staff.
- Ensure family files are maintained in a secure and confidential manner.
- Maintain current resource and referral information. Provide timely follow up with families who have requested and received referrals.
Attendance
- Verify attendance and back up documentation.
- Generate attendance reports per set timelines.
- Process family fees and perform related tasks.
Outreach
- Participate in community outreach events to distribute program information and maximize enrollment.
Front Office
- Answer phones, greet guests and maintain a clean and welcoming entrance area.
Performs other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Associate’s Degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- High degree of professionalism and accountability.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Valid California Driver’s License and transportation.
**Physical Requirements**:
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
**Travel Requirements**:
Local travel required.
