Position Description

This position performs financial analysis functions in support of county financial operations.

Position Objectives
- Collects, calculates, enters, and maintains employee payroll data.
- Processes accounts payable; sets up vendors; reviews and codes invoices; processes purchase orders.
- Coordinates insurance renewals; processes insurance claims.
- Manages credit card accounts.
- Enters journal entries, processes budget transfers.
- Obtains and maintains county vehicle titles.
- Balances general ledger accounts and prepares monthly reports.
- Assists with budget, procurement, and audit functions.
- Maintains department files and records.
- Performs related duties.

Desirable Training and Experience
- Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of accounts payable policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of budget management principles.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, county ordinances, and department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Skill in prioritizing and planning.
- Skill in interpersonal relations.
- Skill in oral and written communication.

Pay: From $40,616.00 per year
