Administrative Assistant/marketing Assistant

Our thriving, integrative non-insurance based, private medical practice, is in need of an experienced medical receptionist with outstanding communication skills to help effectively facilitate the therapeutic experience of our patients. We are seeking a professional individual who truly understands the value of compassionate service as well as having experience with Marketing to be able to assist with the growth of the Practice.

There are many tasks and responsibilities associated with this position. Checking in/checking out patients in our EHR system, answering phones with proper etiquette, scheduling patient appointments, facilitating patient flow, monitoring Stram Center voice mail throughout the day, maintaining patients accounts by obtaining, recording and updating patient chart information while upholding patient confidentiality within HIPPA guidelines, general office duties such as faxing and scanning, are some of the daily tasks expected in this role.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Basic skills:

- This position will entail administrative duties as well as marketing of the Burlington office. Marketing will include making connections and building relationships in the Burlington area, as well as scheduling lectures, coordinating events in the area and well as determining promotions that could be helpful in enhancing interest.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all interactions.
- Ability to work with staff at all levels, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Medical background a plus.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Under the direction of the Naturopathic Doctors and Management in Delmar, you will assist with:
**Medical Reception**:

- Checking in/checking out patients through EMR system
- Answering phones, scheduling patients, facilitating patient flow
- Monitor interoffice messaging system as well as tasks and respond in a timely manner.
- General office duties, faxing, scanning of documents.
- HIPAA Compliance - complies with all Privacy and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures
- Complete patient registration (New Patient), ensure all forms are properly signed.
- Ensure departmental policies are followed.
- Manage provider schedules by ensuring that the schedules are full. Paying special attention to the days Dr. Stram is traveling to that office. It is important that his schedule is full.

**HBOT (HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY) - **Potential for cross training in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in a supportive capacity. Duties would include:

- Operates and monitors hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems.
- Hyperbaric chamber maintenance and cleaning as required.
- Document all care provided accurately & completely according to practice policies including vital signs, and pre & post health screenings, response to treatments as needed.
- Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
- Know and demonstrate knowledge of the risks and potential side effects of exposure to hyperbaric doses of oxygen, such as barotrauma, oxygen toxicity, hypoglycemia, and decompression sickness.

**Support and assistance will of course be provided via staff at both locations.**

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
