Description:
Dovetail Brewery is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable and passionate individual to join our Sales Department as a Sales Representative. Opened in May 2016, Dovetail Brewery focuses on continental European lagers and ales and uses traditional brewing methods to create wonderfully balanced and drinkable beer. You would join a highly organized team and manage an account base made up of On-Premise accounts in the City of Chicago. Beyond managing accounts, you would seek out new account opportunities and present Dovetail products to them, setup and execute promotions, and represent the brewery at festivals and expos. Along the way, you will develop relationships with our wholesaler and work with them to achieve sales goals. You will also develop a deep understanding of our brewing process, our beers, and be surrounded by a diverse group of talented, amazing individuals within a growing brewery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and build On Premise sales account relationships in the city of Chicago
- Seek out new accounts and present Dovetail products to them
- Work with distributor sales reps
- Schedule and execute promotions
- Develop a weekly pre-plan to organize sales calls, maintain notes and execute sales goals
- Maintain and update an account contact database
- Understand, create and utilize VIP sales reports
- Use Karma CRM to keep calls and accounts organized
- Attend weekly sales meetings
- Activate point-of-sale usage in accounts
- Develop deep product and brand knowledge
- Occasional nights and weekends
- Represent Dovetail at beer festivals and other expos

**Qualifications**:

- Strong customer service, public speaking, organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deep knowledge of beer, the beer industry, and the bar/restaurant industry
- Sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry
- Experience working with wholesalers is preferred
- 2 or 4-year degree is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in with VIP and Karma is preferred
- Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license
