**Summary/Objective**

As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating/modifying new and existing glass and component blueprints to meet evolving customer and industry specifications. The individual will be responsible for interpreting, evaluating, and upholding detailed engineering guidelines in their own work as well as the work of their team members.

**Essential Functions**
- Utilize SolidWorks 3D software to create/modify drawings and assemblies
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates workload to achieve objectives
- Ensures compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, construction economy and operating convenience
- Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality as observed in finished product audits

**Physical Demands**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, feel, or reach. This position is not very active when it comes to movement and requires a lot of typing and sitting in a chair.
- Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather that the whole hand as in handling.
- Required to have close acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts.
- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive information through oral communication.

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time position and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week. Hours may vary dependent upon workload.

**Travel**

No travel is expected for this position.

**Required Education and Experience**
- CAD software experience required
- SolidWorks experience a plus
- PDM software experience a plus

**Work Authorization/Security Clearance**

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
