Outreach Coordinator

Asian American Center of Frederick (“AACF”), an established community-based, non-profit organization, is searching for an organized and outgoing Outreach Coordinator to oversee community engagement and outreach activities. This position will lead a team of Community Health Workers by researching, planning, and carrying out events and activities throughout Frederick County, MD. Through collaboration with the project managers and AACF leadership, Outreach Coordinator will develop an outreach strategy to increase the company’s impact by influencing visibility and reach within a variety of diverse communities of Frederick County, MD.

**Objective**:
- To create a structured process for all current and future outreach activities, thereby increasing efficiency and impact of the organization.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining a calendar of outreach opportunities, including city/county events, community/neighborhood events, AACF signature events, and events organized by partner agencies.
- Interpreting the needs of individual projects in terms of outreach deliverables and key performance metrics (i.e., light touch vs. engagement) and translating them into outreach strategy.
- Nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partners and community leaders.
- Scheduling, registering, planning, and executing outreach activities and managing day-of logistics and staffing.
- Maintaining an inventory of outreach materials and supplies.
- Coordinating event promotion and registration with the Communications Coordinator.
- Preparing accurate records and reports, including outreach related financial expenditures.
- Supporting AACF’s signature events, including Lunar New Year, Summer Cultural Series, Annual Community Health Fair, and New Year’s Gala.
**Qualifications**:
**Required**:
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Flexible schedule.
**Preferred**:
- Knowledge of Frederick County.
- 1-3 years of experience within non-profit outreach activities.
- Associate degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields.
- Knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
