Purchasing Assistant

**Position Summary**

The primary responsibility of the purchasing specialist is

to acquire all the company’s various supplies (raw materials ＋MRO) negotiates the company’s purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and product meet the company’s specification, maintaining accurate and acceptable levels of all inventories.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Identify suppliers of goods and services
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, dealing, expectation etc..
- Creating purchase orders and ensuring pricing is correct.
- Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
- Monitor tooling inventory to ensure die flow of goods remain positive.
- Possible small translation (Japanese to English) (English to Japanese)
- Communicate with departments and managers on inventory levels and locations
- Participates in 5s, safety, training, and continuous improvement activities in their department
- Ensure all purchase orders are accurate and sent on time

**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**
- Experience with PLEX preferred
- Strong knowledge of industry and market conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and problem solving
- Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
- Able to travel and meet venders / suppliers as necessary
- Helpful If able to translate (Japanese to English) (English to Japanese)
