Job Description Summary

Research Specialist C will conduct experiments and provide technical support for single-cell projects within the Shaffer lab. The position requires expertise in molecular biology, cell and tissue culture, sequencing library preparation, and general laboratory management. The research involves testing different anti-cancer agents on human cell lines and performing molecular and phenotypic assays. Assays include microscopy, single-molecule RNA FISH, single-cell RNA-sequencing, western blots, and immunofluorescence Research Specialist C will also help support human tissue collection efforts by helping to cryopreserve and sequence patient samples for ongoing translational projects. Beyond research activities, they will help with lab management, safety, organization, and hazardous goods shipping.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelors degree and 3-4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
