As a FLY Educator, you will deliver the gold standard in personal finance education to youth and young adults. You will undergo professional development to become an Accredited Financial Counselor and actively provide financial coaching support to FLY participants and

**Duties**:
Program Facilitation:

- Deliver FLY's curriculum to program participants as assigned, covering topics ranging from career planning, goal setting, taxes, banking fundamentals, managing credit, financing higher education, savings, investing, insurance selection, and conscious spending plan development.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of FLY's curriculum and make improvements as necessary.
- Provide personalized academic support to students as needed.

Community Support:

- Conduct personal finance workshops for community-based organizations.
- Facilitate personal finance seminars as assigned.
- Evaluate curriculum for equity, inclusivity, and accessibility, adapting instruction to meet participants' needs and goals.
- Complete AFC certification requirements and provide 1:1 coaching to program participants as assigned.
- Support and mentor other Educators throughout the preparation process.

Additional Expectations:

- Complete professional development opportunities through NGPF certification trainings.
- Obtain Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) accreditation.
- Collaborate across all program areas to align classroom goals with Diversity & Inclusion efforts, contribute to Policy & Advocacy initiatives, and assist with grant writing.
- Participate in workshops, social events, and networking opportunities.
- Engage in emotional intelligence and strengths training, as well as antiracism training.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Associates Degree or higher.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth in Rhode Island communities.
- Comfortability facilitating in group settings.
- Commitment to FLY's Theory of Change in ending Generational Poverty.
- Growth mindset and passion for working with youth.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to foster social change.
- Proficiency in MS Office and office management systems.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusivity, belonging, equity, and justice.

Organizational Culture:

- Design and implement organization-wide diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice policies.
- Promote professional development opportunities inclusive of intersecting identities and backgrounds.
- Cultivate partnerships with Diversity, Equity, Justice, and Inclusion professionals to enhance programming.
- Establish feedback loops to analyze program strengths and growth areas, ensuring equitable representation of students' and families' voices.
