Location: Employee’s choice with in-person appointments ~3 days a week in Carbon County
Hourly Rate: $25.64

**_ ERAP Intake Specialist Position Description_**

**_ PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_**
- Under the direct supervision of the Housing Stability Program Coordinator, the Intake Specialist will screen applicants by telephone or face-to-face in Carbon County to assess housing needs, completing intake and follow-up interviews to ensure they meet funding requirements.
- The Intake Specialist will assist clients with gathering appropriate documentation
- May facilitate community referrals, and contacts to additional community resources.
- This position will require regular travel around Carbon County (mileage reimbursed).
- The ERAP Intake Specialist will maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and interactions.

This is a grant funded position expected to end March 2025.

This position is community based, approximately 3 days a week will be spent meeting in person at different locations in Carbon County, PA. Mileage reimbursement is provided. For office hours the employee may work in the location of their choice (home, our office in Allentown, PA, elsewhere).

**_ Work Experience and/or Education for ERAP Intake Specialist_**

A minimum of two years of related work experience in a range of the following: social work, case management, health and human services and/or customer service. Education considered in lieu of work experience.

**_ Skills for ERAP Intake Specialist_**
- Public service oriented with an understanding of social services that address housing instability.
- Ability to evaluate and authenticate documentation, ensuring completeness and confidentiality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in technical and detailed information for advising tenants and landlords on program regulations and procedures
- Intermediate business math proficiency to calculate income, deductions, exemptions and rental assistance amounts accurately

Remote Work Policy_**

This position is expected to meet in person with applicants at different locations in Carbon County, PA approximately 3 days a week. When not meeting in person employee may work at the location of their choice.
